Costs less than what my campus bookstore wanted, however I didn't even need to read any of it to pass the class (it was that easy). The lab manual gave me all the information that I needed to know. The information in the book is kind of redundant if you attend the class, or at least it was for me, since my professor took all of the information directly from the book. Maybe I'm just salty because I wasted +$500 on a course that taught me the same information that I learned when I took environmental science in middle school.
A book worth having for all the information it has beyond what can be covered in a class. I will keep it for future reference as it contains a trove of great links to supplemental material. I am 75 and it is the text for a Physical Geography class I am taking and I am learning so much about the "why" of things I thought I already knew. I would recommend any student to keep this book rather than sell it at the end of their semester. I expect there will be another class that will use the back half of the book so that is another reason to keep it.
Very informative book but I really liked how colorful it was and it used infographic styles throughout. The class itself was pretty boring so I appreciated that the book wasn't just as boring and full of only words and boring graphs and charts, which probably partly explains why the book is so expensive lol
The title says that it comes with an access card. So I obviously didn't read it and study the text/description which was my mistake but for the future and other buyers, if you could buff up the description better by saying "this is just the book" or something along those lines, it'll be a little easier to decide if a customer wants that product or not. Thank you for making the return process easy by giving me the shipping label and being in constant communication making sure that I'm satisfied with all my purchases.
